Process and heal from difficult experiences using EMDR and somatic approaches in a safe, trauma-informed environment.
Trauma & EMDR Therapy in Austin, TX
Your journey to healing starts here. Trauma-informed therapy with a practitioner who understands. Former Army veteran with 12 years of experience helping individuals overcome trauma, PTSD, and anxiety.
I believe that everyone has an inherent capacity to heal and grow. My role is to create a safe, grounded space where you can process difficult experiences, reconnect with your strength, and build the life you want.
“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”
— Rumi
I became a therapist because I understand what it's like to carry invisible wounds. After serving in the U.S. Army and experiencing my own journey through trauma recovery, I found profound healing through therapy. That experience shaped my calling to help others find their way back to themselves.
For the past 12 years, I've specialized in trauma recovery, PTSD, and anxiety using an integrative approach that combines EMDR, somatic experiencing, and mindfulness. I'm trained in evidence-based methods, but I also bring a human perspective — I know what it takes to do this work because I've done it myself.
My approach is grounded, direct, and compassionate. I'll meet you where you are, honor your pace, and walk alongside you as you reclaim your life. Therapy with me feels safe, authentic, and focused on your goals.
When I'm not in session, you'll find me hiking the Greenbelt, practicing yoga, or spending time with my family here in Austin.
Taking the first step toward healing takes courage. If you're here, you've already shown incredible strength. Let's take the next step together.

Modalities
We begin by establishing safety, building resources, and learning tools to manage symptoms. You'll feel grounded before we process trauma.
Using EMDR and somatic techniques, we'll process traumatic memories at your pace. Your nervous system will learn that the threat is over.
As symptoms decrease, we focus on reconnecting with yourself, your values, and your life. You'll discover strengths you didn't know you had.
You'll develop lasting skills to handle future challenges, maintain your progress, and continue growing beyond therapy.
Starting therapy can bring up a lot of questions. Here are answers to the ones I hear most.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps your brain process traumatic memories. Using bilateral stimulation (eye movements, tapping, or sounds), we activate your brain's natural healing process. It's highly effective for PTSD and trauma, with strong research support.
Not at all! While I have a veteran background and work with many military clients, I help anyone dealing with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, or life challenges. My military experience informs my approach, but my practice welcomes everyone.
It varies based on your history and goals. Some clients feel significant relief in 8-12 sessions, while complex trauma may take longer. EMDR can work faster than traditional talk therapy. We'll create a plan together and adjust as you progress.
Yes! I offer secure video sessions for clients throughout Texas. EMDR and trauma therapy work very well via telehealth. Many clients prefer the convenience and comfort of meeting from home.
My fee is $180 for individual therapy (50-60 minutes). I'm in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, and TriCare. I also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for veterans and first responders.
Taking the first step is the hardest part. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can talk about what you're going through and whether my approach is right for you. No pressure, no commitment — just a conversation.
